The first annual All Survivors Day will commence on Saturday, November 3 all over the world. Sexual abuse survivors, their loved ones, supporters for the protection of victims, and advocates of the cause will join to show solidarity with individuals who endured this type of abuse. The day will promote changing the culture that allows sexual abuse to go on without appropriate repercussions for offenders.
SNAP (Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests) created the day for survivors and their families and encourage the hosting of events throughout the country. An event will be hosted in Philadelphia by SNAP in conjunction with CHILD USA, who is publicizing the event through “Facebook Live” along with the Army of Survivors group that formed in response to the Larry Nassar abuse scandal. If you prefer to participate in any nationwide event through digital means, you may use the hashtag #AllSurvivorsDay to show your support.
